Kumagawa-juku (Japan Heritage)
The Kumagawa-juku was one of the post towns along the Sabakaido route that linked the sea in Wakasa to the region of the ancient capital. Remains of a magistrate’s office, a guardhouse, and a storehouse can still be seen today. The area has been designated a Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
